WAKA Kickball (kickball.com) is an amateur social-athletic organization focusing on providing adults opportunities to participate in kickball leagues and have fun. WAKA has over 200 divisions (leagues) and many tens of thousands of players across the United States. Our organization is seeking a Drupal Developer / Site Administrator. You must be highly organized, have excellent communication skills and are able to work independently in a virtual organization environment.

Requirements:
-Strong experience with Drupal, including: the core API, major contributed modules, and custom module development
-Strong experience with PHP, and preferably within a LAMP stack
-Strong experience with SQL, relational databases, and in particular, MySQL; you are very comfortable using tools like phpMyAdmin and the mysql CLI
-Solid fundamentals in Unix / Linux administration
-Experience with Javascript; familiarity with some of the major Javascript libraries currently in use.
-Experience maintaining and administrating Drupal modules and sites
-Experience evaluating and integrating open source and third party applications into existing systems
-The ability to quickly come up to speed on complex existing infrastructures

Strongly Preferred:
-A Bachelors in Computer Science or a related field
-Previous or current participation in open source projects
-Contributions to the Drupal Community
-Experience using JavaScript to implement Ajax solutions in web applications
-Able to use Perl to help streamline or accomplish trivial and/or reoccurring tasks
-Experience with and understand the concepts associated with revision control systems such as CVS and Subversion.

The majority of the focus is on Drupal programming, both creating new functionality, and taking existing functionality and making it work in new ways. This position also requires Linux system administration and interaction with our Hosting Services Provider. An average of 40 hour work week is required. This position requires high speed Internet access at home and both the ability and availability to attend staff meetings during the day via IM, phone, and web cam. Great email communication skills are a must. This is a 100% telecommute, full time position with excellent benefits.
