Location: Toledo, OH The  Sales Solutions Architect is responsible for providing consultation to the business units and the IS organization on the beneficial and appropriate application of technology. The Solutions Architect will understand the business processes and design solutions that fulfill the business requirements. This position is accountable for ensuring that the application and integration of such technology is done in a manner consistent with the companies enterprise architecture and IS standards. This position is responsible for collaborating with and educating others across the organization on enterprise-wide systems and supporting technology for the Customer and Sales enterprise areas.
The Solutions Architect is a student of the technology, maintains market awareness, and is networked into the customer and sales vertical internally and externally. The Solutions Architect is accountable for keeping up to date on new and emerging developments in IT solutions. This position is expected to gain a working level understanding of these technologies by pursuing opportunities to gain practical knowledge through professional events, peer networks, or formal training. The Solutions Architect will identify opportunities to integrate new technology with the current environment to address business opportunities.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure the technology that is being delivered is contemporary and aligned with the 1-3 year IT Roadmap.
- Design and drive the implementation of seamless and efficient customer and sales business transactions using the right technology at the right time and at the right cost.
- Ensure the support and sustainability of all technology solutions is engineered in the design stage.
- Collaborate with peers as well as other IS leaders in the development and ongoing sustainment of the 1-3 year IT Roadmap for the clients technology environment.
- Work with businesses leaders, process leaders, and project teams to identify and define integration opportunities for the appropriate technologies.
- Maintain an awareness of the business strategy in order to identify opportunities to apply technology solutions to upcoming business problems.
- Facilitate project teams to address the feasibility of technology solutions.
- Take a leadership role in applying the appropriate technology to the opportunity
- Identify technical and implementation risks associated with a technology solution.
- Maintain the functional specification architecture documentation including the  Operating Model for the Sales Order Management, Sales & Marketing, and Receivables & Cash areas.
- Consults with project planners to develop statements of work for proposed solutions including estimates that address assumptions, resources, integration points and risks for the customer and sales enterprise areas
- Manage external providers of development capacity when technical architecture is in scope.

  Must-have Qualifications: Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree required, post-graduate degree or equivalent
experience preferred in Computer Science, Supply Chain, or Business
Administration.
- Competent in project management theory, knowledge, skills, tools and techniques.
- Minimum of 5-8+ years of experience within Information Technology industry
- Minimum of 5 years experience with SAP Enterprise Core Component technology.
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management concepts and technology is preferred.
- Practical experience with customer and sales operations is preferred.
- Prior SAP deployment experience in all phases of the ASAP methodology is required.
