John Deere Corporate in Bettendorf, Iowa is seeking a Remediation Manager to manage all corporate and unit remediation projects enterprise wide.  In this position, you will:

Develop and manage project plans for all soil and groundwater remediation projects enterprise wide - including contracting of external remediation consultants and legal counsel.
Provide reports to management and units on project status, schedule, and costs - including quarterly remediation report and annual report to company external auditor.
Develop procedures for remediation cost estimates based on accounting standards and provide guidance and direction to units on accruals.
Coordinate development and submittal of required reports to external regulatory agencies.
Maintain remediation-related process documents.
Serve as a liaison with external regulatory contacts and legal counsel on all remediation projects.

Education

Degree in Engineering/Technology/Science or equivalent experience.

 
Required Skills and Experience

3 plus years experience in an environmental position related to soil & groundwater.
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations.
Ability to work with government agencies and outside contractors.
Experience in directing and managing outside contractors to complete projects on time and on budget.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% (domestic & international).

 
Desired Skills and Experience

Working knowledge of environmental process in a manufacturing environment.
