Walden's client company is a successful boutique hedge-fund looking for a bright individual  who wants to learn the ins and outs of the hedge fund industry.
This operations specialist will work with the back office team to compute and verify monthly NAV, handle trade settlements, including solving outstanding trade problems and supporting the internal database, work with the external auditors and accountants, prepare quarterly and annual statements, research and analyze tax efficiency of foreign and domestic investments. Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree with a minimum 3.5 GPA
1-2 years of similar experience with a hedge fund administrator or an accounting or audit firm (preferred, but not required).
3+ years experience in a software support environment supporting complex, multi-tiered software applications
Knowledge of designing, writing, and debugging SQL statements is a MUST
Experience with SQL Server or Oracle and MSMQ within a Windows server environment on enterprise level applications
Proven in depth of knowledge of complex, database-centric, internet-based systems
Willing to work long hours on interesting problems.
Able to work independently and in a group without requiring close supervision.
Comfortable admitting to mistakes and asking for help when uncertain.
Excellent Communications skills (written & verbal)
