Sr. Architect or Architectural Engineer Partner

Segars Engineering of Waynesboro, Virginia seeks an Architect or Architectural Engineer with an interest in becoming a business partner. The firm has positioned itself for growth during periods of economic uncertainty, and has seen double-digit top and bottom line growth since its inception. It is owned and operated by an experienced Professional Engineer/MBA with a licensed Architect on staff. We are members of the USGBC and have obtained LEED accreditation for the purpose of designing and building green facilities.

Jobs currently under contract include small and medium sized residential, commercial and industrial projects requiring some civil, structural & architectural design capabilities as well as knowledge of LEED registration and certification.

Job Duties

Job duties will include planning, design and administration of local projects (mostly industrial and institutional) requiring extensive client contact and collaboration with other disciplines. Most work is done directly for the project owner. Work includes design and analysis of green design features, as well as structural and architectural materials. Some building and site design plus CAD work is required as well.

Education and Experience

Ideal candidate will possess at least a Bachelor's in Architecture or Engineering with a license or immediate plans to obtain one. (A license is necessary for consideration as a partner). Experience with AutoCAD is necessary with advanced computer skills considered a plus.
