We are just starting a major multiyear commitment by Microsoft to create a new premium mobile experience for consumers and social communicators. We are seeking talented individuals who can build the next generation of Microsoft mobile experiences. As a Principal Software Development Engineer on the PMX South team, you can help turn our vision into reality. The team is forming today with members from both Microsoft and a recent Microsoft acquisition, Danger, developers of the T-Mobile Sidekick. The team has responsibilities in service, applications and client platform as well the mobile operator integration. You will be involved in creating the common understanding that makes your team greater than the sum of its members. You'll need to set a technical direction for our team while keeping to an aggressive schedule. You will need to deliver key parts of our solution. You will need to be promoting and driving engineering practices for the team and as well as mentoring individual SDEs. In addition, you must form collaborations between the team other Entertainment and Devices groups. Qualifications for this position include: Technical vision with the ability to ship that vision Excellent communication and collaboration skills Successfully delivery of products with high standards and tight schedules. Willing to use your experience to build a highly technical team and grow and mentor its members Proven experience with two or more of the following areas: PC application development, mobile or web user experience, or mobile operator integration. 10+ years of software development experience A BA/BS in Computer Science, Math, EE or equivalent industry experience is required.
