As a data architect your will be responsible for making sure strategic goals are optimized through the use of enterprise data standards. You will bring your extensive experience with data modeling, data workflow management, data warehouses, and business intelligence. The data architect needs to have an ability to work with all levels in the organization. Good decisions depend on good information, so you must be passionate about developing systems to deliver accurate, precise, and reliable information to decision makers inside and outside of the company. Education: BS in CS preferred Experience: A total of at least 12 years experience, 5 years as Data Architect and 3 to 4 years in data warehouse application Responsibilities: design and develop a several proprietary schemas: o for the production service database and operational data store derived from it, o for the data warehouse and associated data marts for the reporting system, and o for the business intelligence system. Take a lead role in the implementation of the Premium Services eXperience reporting and business intelligence infrastructure work with multiple groups within the company, and potentially outside the company, to define/design requirements work with DBA and Operations on database, hardware, and networking requirements verify data and test conclusions drawn from it test and document all work Requirements: experience with developing data dictionaries and metadata registries experience with developing data models and data flow diagrams experience with developing production database schemas experience with OLAP, MOLAP & ROLAP   experience with high frequency and large volume data storage and retrieval extensive experience developing in C# or Java Experience with relational databases, SQL & XML, including schema definitions and transformations. SQLServer a plus   ability to clearly present ideas and explain complicated concepts at multiple levels of detail understanding of statistical analysis principles and techniques; ability to collect and organize large quantities of data excellent written and verbal communications skills ability to handle multiple projects at the same time and prioritize requests in a fast paced environment ability to take projects from concept to delivery in a production environment ability to jump in and learn new things quickly with little assistance Familiarity with ETL/EAI tools like Ab Initio, Actuate, Informatica and Experience with BI/Reporting tools like Cognos, Microstrategy, Hyperion and analytics engines.
