Job Overview: ATMI is seeking a dynamic Business Unit Finance Manager who will provide financial leadership for our largest, rapidly growing >$100 Million business unit. You will work closely with the business leader on operational and strategic plans, playing a highly visible role within the global organization. As the Business Unit Finance Manager, you will also conduct studies and advise business partners on information concerning market and industry trends, sales, marketing, expansion needs or opportunities, new business opportunities and product development. This challenging role will require a detailed understanding of all aspects of the Business Unit's pricing, cost and expense accounts, performance measurement, business analysis and new product roadmaps. Through business partnering, you will be an integral part of the organization and provide direction on company internal policies for pricing and process improvement, and drive the business teams to maximize their financial performance. Primary Responsibilities: Shape the future of the Business Unit by providing financial guidance and direction as a key member of the business leadership team; Deliver detailed and sophisticated financial and valuation modeling with direct customer interaction in support of product commercialization activities supporting global explosive growth initiatives; Evaluate data, develop financial models and plans, and present solutions for which there may be no established approach; Develop and utilize Pro Forma investment analysis models for all new product introduction and capital investment projects. Routinely measure actual performance achieved against projections; Partner with Product Managers on Cost of Ownership modeling to determine pricing strategies and assist on any subsequent commercial agreements; Develop and utilize Pro Forma investment analysis models for all new product introduction and capital investment projects. Metrics include Volume, ASP, Revenue, Cost, Mix, and Spending analyses, and various other metrics covering performance of specific business decisions and Strategic Initiatives; Partner with finance and other functional teams to understand financial results achieved and ensure appropriate accounting interpretations are made when needed; Participate on special projects as required by management or other business partners; Ability to travel 10%; Education/Experience: MBA Required; 5+ years financial analysis experience, Exceptional MS Excel skills along with a solid comfort level using software systems and databases; Excellent math, analytical and critical thinking skills; Unparalleled ability to dig deep into the details but present high level findings to business partners; To be successful in the role and at ATMI you will need: An unyielding desire to succeed; A creative approach to solving problems; A consistent drive to question the business and yourself on how to do things better and more efficiently; Ability to take initiative and get things started when there may be no established path; Flexibility and a sense of humor.
