TiVo Inc., creator of and a leader in television services for digital video recorders (DVRs), is seeking a Public Relations Coordinator. You will join a dynamic two-person internal public relations team, reporting to the PR Manager. Here is w hat you will get to do: Assist with daily news coverage reports Research speaking opportunities, manage speaking calendar, assist with coordination of deliverables to conference organizers Research and submit company award opportunities Update tivo.com regularly with media coverage, speaking engagements, awards, online media kit Manage development and distribution of media briefing pages Maintain media target list, and be able to identify appropriate contacts for outreach surrounding consumer-facing announcements Assist with writing and editing of press materials Manage distribution of company press releases Build and distribute press kits Develop relationships with internal clients, editors, analysts, and media Manage fulfillment of product and service activations for radio, print, and broadcast promotions Assist in managing product reviews programs with national, regional, trade and online media. Work closely with consumer PR agency on editorial calendar opportunities and incoming media requests Assist in planning and executing social networking programs as well as new media opportunities What you will need to be successful: BA/BS Degree 1-2 years previous PR experience preferred, agency or in-house Demonstrated job experience, preferably in consumer electronics or high-tech industries Excellent research, writing, editing, and decision-making skills Ability to develop and maintain media contacts/relationships Strong knowledge of computer skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint Demonstrated ability to work with others cross-functionally throughout the organization Demonstrated positive, can-do attitude in a deadline-oriented environment TiVo is unique.
