Typical Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work in collaboration with Region Managers on Facility Siting projects as well as Energy Efficiency Partnerships in the San Joaquin Valley working out of the SCE Tulare Service Center. Typical responsibilities will include: managing all phases of Company/Customer, government, business, and civic activities; providing a leadership role in the community in accordance with the vision and tenets of the Corporate Strategic Plan and the Public Affairs Department goals; representing the customer with respect to electric operations that adversely impact governments and communities; monitoring local government activities and issues; having awareness of proposed actions that may impact the company and its customers, and taking the necessary actions to protect the company and its customers best interests; organizing and coordinating internal staff and resources, and leading in the design and implementation of strategies to resolve issues that impact the company's best interests and customer relations; establishing and maintaining positive relationships with government officials, community and business leaders, media, major customers, civic and community based organizations, minority outreach programs, and organizations to convey and educate the need for established and proposed company operations, policies and procedures; and performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Communications, or a related technical discipline; or equivalent experience, education, & training. Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience working with, and a broad knowledge of, local and/or regional or state government agencies.

General Job Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in identifying, analyzing, and resolving local or regional issues such as ongoing operational, engineering, or construction issues. Typically possesses 2 years experience identifying, analyzing, and resolving significant local or regional issues such as on-going operational, real property, generating, or financial issues. Demonstrated experience working on cross functional teams. Must have strong oral and written communication skills, and experience making formal presentations to management and/or to local and regional government organizations or other external audiences. Must be customer focused, to understand and appropriately respond to clients business needs, and interface effectively and/or collaborate with others. Demonstrated ability to accurately analyze information, make sound decisions, take action, and meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and accountability for the accuracy of information and for achieving results. Demonstrated experience interfacing effectively and/or collaborating with peers, and members of other departments. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel.

Preferred Skills:
MA/MS. Familiarity with electrical deregulation. Knowledge of service planning.
