Essential Job Responsibilities:

Prepares journal entries to allocate both billable and non-billable insurance expenses.
Allocates insurance program costs.
Prepares monthly reconciliations of all pre-paid insurance accounts.
Observes insurance negotiations, selection of insurance brokers and carriers.
Processes and investigates all Claims for Damages.
Prepares claim and lawsuit information for attorneys and insurance for claims adjusters.
Maintains company files.
Confers, on a regular basis, with company Insurance Broker to update risk management program.
Performs special projects that require knowledge of insurance accounting.
Maintains employee confidence and protects operations, including intellectual properties; by keeping information confidential.
Maintains technical knowledge by; attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.





Qualifications:

Must have a basic understanding of reconsiliations and accounting.
Required to have a basic understanding of the insurance industry, risk management, loss control principles and practices, internal control procedures, contracts, and legal agreements.
Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, company officials, vendors, claimants, and the general public.
Must have the ability to accurately solve problems and have exceptional proficiency in data management.
Must be able to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
Required to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex operational information into an organized and presentable manner.
It is necessary to have outstanding administrative and organizational skills, along with proficiency in the use and application of the following software:
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
Preferred: Basic knowledge of oil & gas accounting systems, Microsoft Access, and Report Writing Software (Monarch).





Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college, or related experience.
