POSITION SUMMARY:
Local credit counseling company seeking Bi-lingual Housing Counselors to provide caring, professional help that will enable clients to avoid or overcome financial problems and successfully reach their goals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but not limited to):
„X Conducts a comprehensive overview of clientˇ¦s financial situation.
„X Displays sensitivity to needs and expectations of clients by listening empathetically, communicating clearly and establishing supportive relationships.
„X Assists clients with creating a spending plan.
„X Reviews debt obligations, including an analysis of their credit report.
„X Educates clients on using available resources to meet priority expenses.
„X Provides a recommended action plan relating to the clientˇ¦s particular situation that supports their financial goals.
„X Prepares appropriate documentation of all counseling sessions in accordance with agency guidelines.
„X Ensures successful client outcomes
„X Provide clients with clear, written recommendations based on the counselorˇ¦s professional advice.
„X Links clients with educational resources and materials relevant to their situation.
„X Assists with resolving client complaints as needed.
„X Responds to client calls, resolves credit/creditor problems and documents account activity in the data operations systems.

REQUIRMENTS:
Bachelorˇ¦s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university is required. Two years of financial/credit/mortgage and/or social service/counseling background is required. Masterˇ¦s degree with demonstrated coursework/previous work experience will be accepted in lieu of 2yrs experience. Must be proficient in typing and competent in basic computer skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, the Internet and email usage. Must have satisfactory credit and pass a criminal background check. Credit report must not have any current late charges, collection accounts or judgments. Discharged bankruptcies are okay.
