Job Title Community Educator - TriTown Regional Hospital Category Regional Health Centers Site Sidney Status PT Shift None specified Description Part time, 16 hrs/wk Responsibilities: Organizes various functions of the network through frequent personal, phone and electronic communication with members Work assignments involve resource identification/development and provision, recruitment, promotion, technical assistance with wellness and health promotion programs Assemble information for monthly and quarterly reports. Gather and analyze pertinent data. Functions as a team member in organizational change initiatives Works independently, initiates, develops and evaluates educational and training opportunities Participates in environmental/policy change, and public health research, as indicated Minimum Qualifications Requirements: Graduation from an accredited Baccalaureate, Associate or Diploma Professional Nursing program and/or a Masters degree in Education plus administrative experience or work experience in public health or the business community Extensive theoretical and practical knowledge of health promotion and disease prevention issues. Minimum 5 years experience in public health or community organization and experience in a fast-paced office environment Background in health promotion. Well-versed in disease prevention. Knowledge of the regional community.
