TiVo is a leading provider of technology and services for Digital Video Recorders (DVR). Our primary sources of revenue are TiVo service subscriptions, advertising, audience research measurement, hardware, and technology development. We provide innovative marketing solutions for the television industry, including a unique platform for advertisers and audience research. This will support key executives and will perform a crucial and highly visible role helping to identify and analyze new business opportunities, and will provide analysis and forecasting of the service revenue business. You will be the financial business partner to the TiVo business development function and to executives of the service subscription and marketing segments of the business. We are seeking a critical thinker who will work closely with executives of these groups. Your role will include conducting industry research, developing financial business models in order to analyze new business opportunities and assessing the impacts of proposed adjustments to strategies and tactics. Significant experience in a business development finance role supporting executives is a must. Power modeling skills and the ability to develop sophisticated analyses are required. Additionally, we are seeking a candidate with a strong accounting background. Here's what you will get to do: Perform industry research and develop financial valuation models Drive and prepare operational and financial analysis, reporting, and metrics in support of strategic business decision making Partner with executives to model profitability of proposed strategies and tactics Partner with operating management to develop service revenue monthly forecasts and annual budgets Provide ongoing financial analysis and regular reporting of results and forecasts Identify and implement process improvements Provide ad hoc analysis in support of sales and marketing initiatives Here is what you will need to be successful: Strong industry knowledge and experience developing valuation and profitability models Significant experience in financial analysis and strategy roles supporting operating management and executives Proven ability to heavily multi-task Strong knowledge of financial analysis techniques and valuation methods Excellent written and communication skills Proven ability as a critical thinking and the ability to be effective with operating executives Experience developing executive presentations on key issues Hyperion Planning and Essbase experience preferred MBA preferred, or BS/BA with substantial financial modeling experience TiVo is unique.
