John Deere Commercial and Consumer Equipment is seeking a Region Manager to be responsible for achieving the 100 Series lawn tractor marketing/sales goals in a specific geographic area. In this position, you will: Manage relationships between channel partners, Dealers, and John Deere business units. Be responsible for sales metrics, aftermarket metrics to include Pre-Delivery Inspection, warranty registration and follow up after the sale, along with market share goals. Counsel channel partners (mass retail stores & Dealers) on products, marketing, financial and/or management-related matters to include asset management, including all 100 series tractors, parts, attachments, and Easytrack (Ztrack) mower. Monitor channel partner performance and take corrective action when results do not meet expectations. Manage the contractual relationship, serve as a liaison and resolve issues between the channel partners and the Company. Communicate market opportunities and competitive intelligence to the Division. Notify Company of new competitive products or incentives that hit the marketplace. Communicate with other divisions/departments to maintain a good working relationship between channel partners and the company to maximize enterprise objectives. Deliver training to channel partners. Education Bachelor's degree in a Business or Marketing discipline strongly preferred, or equivalent work experience. Required Skills and Experience This position will be located in the Detroit, Michigan area. Knowledge of dealers and other marketing channels. Strong understanding of dealer business practices. Experience in a marketing and/or sales position with responsibilities related to channel management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations. Experience delivering training to a large group. Willing to travel daily within assigned region and stay overnight when necessary (approximately 30% of the time). Desired Skills and Experience Field experience with regular customer contact, knowledge of dealer/distribution network, limited geographic area of responsibility, and broad product knowledge.
