This position is primarily responsible for providing technical engineering
expertise in the form of identifying, conceptualizing, developing, and
managing projects associated with equipment utilized in the packaging of
pharmaceuticals, health care products, and medical devices; soliciting,
initiating, developing, and managing improvement projects for specific and
overall process/quality efficiency enhancements and cost reductions;
conduting feasibility studies for new packaging lines/equipment, including
automation engineering; researching and preparing detailed equipment
proposals/estimates for new and revised processes introduced into the
business unit; preparing requests for appropriation; and working with
manufacturing, procurement, and vendors to investigate component defects.

Candidates must possess the following qualifications to be considered for
this position:
4 yr. college degree in Mechanical Packaging, Industrial or Electrical
Engineering or related technical discipline or in the process of obtaining
BA/BS; years of industry experience will be considered in lieu of degree
Experience in packaging and/or automation engineering, specificall in
pharmaceuticals, food, medical device, or health care packaging, component
or equivalent industries is required
Experience applying EHS regulations such as OSHA Machine Guarding, Control
of Hazardous Energy, ANSI guidelines, etc.
Good understanding of General Commissioning, IQ/OQ/PQ, and process and
product cost pricing
Experience creating URSFs (User Requirement Factory Specifications), SATs
(site acceptance testing), and FATs (factory acceptance testing)
Experience with CAD and/or Solid Works Software applications
Good problem solving skills
Proficient English reading/writing skills for reports, business
correspondence and procedural manuals
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
