John Deere Cylinder Division in Moline, IL is seeking a Hydraulic Engineer to design, develop and adopt hydraulic cylinders for current and new mobile equipment applications. In this position, you will: Collaborate with customers, suppliers and manufacturing to meet cost, quality and delivery goals. Plan, conduct, analyze and document performance and durability tests with test engineers. Follow established procedures in managing and completing projects. Be willing to travel in the U.S. and internationally approximately 25%. Education Four year degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or equivalent experience. Required Skills and Experience General understanding of hydraulic cylinders and systems. Experience with machining, welding and assembly manufacturing processes. Experience in using Pro/Engineer and SAP PDM. Experience with engineering product development processes. Experience with product costing and quality processes. Desired Skills and Experience Experience in a product engineering or testing role. Working knowledge of hydraulic cylinders and systems. Knowledge of and experience with agricultural, construction or other mobile equipment.
