CANCER REGISTRAR JOB DESCRIPTION: In this full time position, you will perform all cancer registry activities to meet the Commission on Cancer (COC) and Illinois State Cancer Registry standards, participate in developing policies, procedures and quality control standards in the Commission on Cancer Survey preparation. In addition, you will also coordinate the cancer registry day to day operations, including abstracting of cases, follow-up, QI studies, preparing agendas and minutes for Tumor Boards and Cancer Committees.

Experience: QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be proficient in cancer registry database management and statistical study skills to generate reports and present data to management, medical staff and cancer committee. Must be a CTR with at least one year previous experience in cancer registry. Experience with COC surveys a plus.
