Operations / Customer Service Specialist -Freight Forwarding

We are an established Global logistics Company currently recruiting qualified candidates for our location in the Dulles, VA. area. Our transportation group provides critical and security sensitive logistics services for a diverse group of established market leaders.


Position Summary:


*Coordinate, monitor and pro-actively manage daily logistical movement of incoming and outbound shipments.

*Collaborate closely with customers, vendors, service partners, airlines and customs brokers, adjusting shipment details as necessary, to ensure timely delivery of shipments.


*Provide accurate, up-to-date and detailed transport and shipment information to clients via varied lines of communication including email, fax and phone calls.


*Pro-actively obtain state-of-the-art knowledge of airline operations, terminology and trends.


Position "REQUIRES DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE WITH FREIGHT FOWARDING PROCEDURES". Must be internet-savvy and able to learn proprietary software systems. Strong, clear verbal communication skills in English required.
