Summary:


Support all activities relating to the Company's Medical product production. Includes: daily manufacturing and test support, process and yield improvement, vendor support, floor layout, New Product Introduction, process definition and documentation. May or may not have direct reports.

Essential Functions:
* 40% Daily production support, including tooling and fixturing problems, training personnel, etc. Investigation of root causes and implementation of corrective/preventative action.
* 30% Vendor auditing, certification, support and cost reduction activities, including new vendor selection and redesign for cost savings.
* 15% Development Engineering support, including Design for Manufacturability (DFM/DFMA), Design for Test (DFT), vendor selection, process development, test development and documentation review.
* 10% Process development and improvement. Capital investment analysis and long term project activities.
* 5% Other duties as required.

Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years direct floor support experience in an electro-mechanical assembly and functional test environment.
* Working knowledge of manufacturing processes (PCB fabrication and assembly, Functional Test, HASS, molding, machining, etc.)
* Project management experience demonstrating the ability to meet schedule and cost targets.
* Background in product structure, BOMs and MRP systems.
* Familiarity with ISO9000, LEAN Manufacturing, 6 Sigma.
* Proficient in most common PC based applications (Word, Excel, AutoCAD, etc.)
* Familiarity with FDA QSR documentation requirements a plus.

Education Requirements:

* Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in engineering or other technical discipline. BSEE preferred.
