We are looking for a an experienced Print manager to work out of out NYC location. Essential Accountability Manages all aspects of fulfillment (document organization, packing, shipping and selection of delivery service provider, components organization/marrying, packing and definition of print requirements and selection of carrier/vendor) Ensures that requirements are fully understood and communicated to the selected print vendor and internal teams Tracks progress of current print projects and reports to project manager. This includes all aspects of the print operations process cycle from the beginning to end Defines and documents requirements for printed products and services Creates, modifies and administers formal RFPs for printed products and services, procures price quote/estimates, and selects Print Vendor in order to manage print costs and ensure that pricing is market competitive Coordinates file transfer/delivery method with the printer and ensures that all data/files is provided. This includes data files, and proper documentation (print manifest) and other printer requirements. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Associate, Bachelor's or Master's Degree - related field (Printing) a plus 3-5 years experience in Print Production, Print Procurement, or Print Purchasing Strong understanding of print production and fulfillment Experience in printing procurement (print, paper and other raw materials) Understanding of variable data print jobs and technologies (rolls and cut-sheet) Demonstrated experience in vendor management and administration of RFP's Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in print production Knowledge of Print project management principles, practices, regulations, and QA standards Knowledge of print processes, techniques and equipment Experience in effective operation of a digital electronic publishing facility. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures. Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. Demonstrated strength in customer service Superior interpersonal and communication skills
