The candidate should be a high energy, results oriented go-getter with prior product development and management experience and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time. The role you will play with us: Responsible for overseeing the strategy, ideation, prioritization and process of Product Development and Management including managing the DailyCandy website and its P&L, new product development efforts on the web, email, mobile and other areas we define in the future. Collaborate with other parts of the organization to identify key Product Management initiatives, gather requirements, and translate them into requirements/specs. Work closely with the engineering team to ensure products/features are created to spec and on schedule. Develop a deep understanding of our products, technology, customers, and competitors in order to create or enhance the functionality of our email products, website, mobile products and other products we develop in the future. Develop and manage a website experience that will attract and retain loyal customers. Provide leadership and ongoing training/development to a team of product managers, and designers. Work across functional teams including editorial, sales, marketing and technology to develop the product vision for the site and its features and functionality. Lead, define and develop the product strategy to support our strategic objectives and create a competitive advantage. What we would like you to have 10+ years of product development/management experience overseeing the design, development and launch of successful consumer internet products with multiple brands and/or concepts. 5 + years of experience in building and leading strong teams and is an equally strong team-player. An undergraduate degree in a related concentration is required. An MBA is desired. Familiarity with leading social web products like Facebook, MySpace, etc - as both an end user of these products and an industry expert as well as with internet advertising models and knowledge of monetizing content online Strong analytical, financial and strategic skills. A demonstrated track record of developing outstanding web experience experiences for online customers Ability to set and meet deadlines and to manage development / production staff to ensure that projects remain on schedule and within budget. Willingness to roll up sleeves and "do whatever it takes" - attention to detail Pop culture awareness- in tune with current developments in pop culture, media and entertainment.
