Minimum Education: None Jobcode: C:129825 Email this job to yourself or to a friend Click Here to Apply Online JOB SUMMARY The Quality Assurance Inspector Lead will have experience working in the inspection field and be able to perform semi-routine tasks to ensure compliance with quality refinement standards. Works closely with engineers and manufacturing to ensure effective inspection and testing procedures are implemented and maintained. Assists in the development of production standards to meet quality specifications and may recommend changes to basic procedures. Lead and prioritize quality inspectors. As a DMIR, responsible for inspection of FAA related products.
RESPONSIBILITIES * Perform product quality inspections in accordance with engineering and quality requirements. * Compile and evaluate quality inspection records in support of reporting quality trends. * Conduct investigation and preparation of corrective actions for customer issues or complaints relating to quality. * Interact with purchasing to ensure quality of all purchased products, resolve quality vendor issues and provide necessary training. * Collect and compile part inspection data. * Write non-conformance and anomaly reports as required. * Membership in Corrective Action Board. * Membership in internal audit team. * Maintain tool calibration programs. * Monitoring and control of age control materials. * Draft and maintain quality department procedures and work instructions. * Assists in scheduling of resources. * Hosts customer & third party certification audits.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * AA degree, or an equivalent combination of technical education, training and experience. * Minimum 5 years Quality Control / Inspection experience * Prior DMIR/FAA Designee required. * Working knowledge of ISO9001:2000 / AS9100 Rev. B requirements. * Supervisory experience required. * Blueprint reading. * Strong writing skills. * Experience with use of scales, gauges and other hand measuring devices. * Familiarity with FAA regulations and AS9102/9103. * Teamwork, leadership skills, mechanical testing, and computer skills required. * Lean manufacturing experience a plus. * Textile experience a plus. LANGUAGE SKILL: Ability to analyze, read, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Must have ability to read / write reports and/or business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to collect data, defines problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Have the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
