HCMC, a Level 1 Trauma Center that is nationally recognized as an academic medical center and public teaching hospital serving all of Minnesota is currently seeking an experienced Pharmacist to work part-time, 40 hours per pay period in our off-site South Minneapolis clinic. This benefit earning position will work days and occasional evening shifts. No weekends.

Bi-lingual English and Spanish speaking highly desired.

Specific job activities and accountabilities include:

• Process outpatient prescriptions and refills via state of the art computer system;
• Provide medication counseling to patients;
• Process insurance claims, including Part D plans;
• Provide drug information to nurses, physicians or other health care practitioners;
• Utilize EPIC for prescription processing, consultation and documentation;
• Assist in supervising pharmacy technicians;
• Responsible for the distribution, control and record keeping of all controlled substances;
• Use Automed dispensing system;
• Perform other related duties;


Skills:
Qualifications:
• Graduation from college with a pharmacy degree.
• Must possess a valid license to practice Pharmacy in the State of Minnesota and be registered with the Minnesota State Board of Pharmacy.
• Outpatient and/or retail pharmacy experience preferred.
