The Lead Controller - Finance Reporting Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. Integrates and develops processes that meet business needs across the organization. Involved in long-term planning. This role contributes to the overall strategy and manages complex issues within functional areas area of expertise. * Translate specific financial-guidelines (GE, GAAP, stat., etc.) into practical business solutions. * Use experience and knowledge of the line of business and trends to determine materiality of variances in the financial statements. * Ensure the accuracy of the organization's financial results by recognizing and preventing misrepresentation, concealment, or omission of information. * Establish appropriate financial process routines and controls to identify activities that may cause the misstatement of financial position. * Use knowledge of financial transactions and insurance accounting to ensure reasonableness of finance-specific business metrics. * Identify new accounting standards applicable to the business and develops appropriate implementation strategy. * Work effectively with business leaders to proactively drive key initiatives to successful conclusion. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance * At least 5 additional years of experience in an accounting position Desired * MBA with concentration in Accounting or Finance * Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues * Strong oral and written communication skills * Strong interpersonal and leadership skills * PC proficiency General * Why join one great company when you can join many?
