We are looking for a superstar SDET Lead to help us expand a rock solid team that will be working with a key strategic OEM and making sure we jointly ship the coolest, most compelling Windows Mobile devices possible with the highest quality and best end user experience. We are seeking a passionate, quality-minded individual to be part of a team that helps drive the feature set and quality of Sony Ericsson Windows Mobile Devices. You'll work with developers and PMs to triage, investigate, and root cause ship stoppers, as well as contribute to feature definition and testing of new applications and capabilities. What makes this SDET Lead role different is the interaction with our partner, and the direct contribution to our division's revenue. Shipping a mobile device is a collaborative process, and you will need to work with our partner to jointly test and ensure we build and ship great devices, with ever better quality, in less time, and on schedule. We need you to help figure out the best way for us to integrate our test processes, skills, tools, and people with those of our partner so that both companies can benefit from the best of the others, and we can jointly ship a higher quality product, in less time. Qualifications: - Must be willing to travel to places like San Diego, Beijing, Russia and Taipei - Demonstrate Test experience throughout the ship cycle, strong knowledge of Software and System Testing, with a minimum of 3 years test experience - Demonstrate the ability to function autonomously and work through ambiguity and rapid changes. - Demonstrate very strong coding skills in C/C++/C# with a minimum of 3 years coding experience Preferred: - Experience with C#, Windows CE or Embedded systems - A BA/BS/MS degree in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline - 5yr of Test Leadership experience Responsibilities: - Provide a high quality customer experience and high level of partner satisfaction. - Apply a love for problem investigation and resolution to partner issues. - Have a positive 'can do' attitude. - Leverage strong communication skills and effective multi-task skills to meet partner needs. - Manage creation of test specifications, test processes, test schedules, test automation, problem repro/investigation and root cause. - Grow a solid team of SDETs - Actively participate in feature planning, along with Dev and PM counterparts. - Ship quality products that are cool and everybody is talking about!
