COTA: Job Requirements- Minimum Work Experience: One (1) year of experience in the care of patients in rehabilitation or acute care setting preferred. Required Licenses/Certifications: Current licensure as a C.O.T.A. in the State of Utah and current CPR certification Basic Life Support/CPR card. Previous experience helpful. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: The C.O.T.A. functions under the general supervision of the Occupational Therapist, assists in treatment planning and maintenance of the patients’ optimum level of independence in daily life tasks based upon assessed needs and projected outcomes. The C.O.T.A. actively participates in departmental activities and processes. OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST: Job Requirements- Minimum Work Experience: One year of experience in the care of patients in rehabilitation or acute care hospital setting preferred. Education: Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy. Required Licenses/Certifications: Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Utah and current Basic Life Support/CPR card. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Able to communicate and understand oral and written instructions. Able to exercise initiative, responsibility, and action in assigned responsibilities. Able to work in collaboration with associates (team effort) to provide quality interdisciplinary patient programming. Has an understanding of physical, mental, psychological, and social needs of patients. Has an understanding of components of activity and adaptation as they relate to therapeutic use. Demonstrates effective leadership qualities. Professional judgment and a sense of professional development. Individual must possess and be able to demonstrate skills relative to the care of Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients.
