Reporting to the Manager of CRM Services, the SAP MDM Configuration Specialist will work as part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary Business Technology team that deploy, manage, maintain and support all business applications for the Associated Press. The primary focus of the MDM Configuration Specialist is to provide functional and technical expertise in the master data management domain. This role will support the central data management of customers and products and associated processes. This position assists in SAP MDM process design for:

Data import to MDM
Data export from MDM
Fit / gap assessment
Configuration
Development
Testing and training
Documentation

QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant must have the ability to manage SAP projects and act as a direct liaison with the business. Must work with SAP Partner consulting teams to ensure system requirements, deadlines and priorities are clearly defined and achieved.
Required Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science
Must have Hands-on SAP MDM configuration experience for a minimum of 1-2 years
Experience must include SAP MDM functional and technical design and analysis, blueprinting, realization, configuration and implementation
Proven experience in defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and/or implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines
Able to collaborate with clients, and have a strong desire to excel
Strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to make timely and sound decisions based on logical assumptions, factual information or strong intuition
Must have the ability to effectively work in a collaborative team environment along with the commitment to the overall success of a group
Focus on meeting and/or exceeding end users expectations for delivering IT customer service
SAP MDM 5.5 and recent service packs experience required
At least 1 full lifecycle implementation of MDM
Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver Exchange Infrastructure (XI)
Solid experience in all components of Master Data Management to include: Console; Data Manager (Taxonomy, Validations, Matching); Workflow; Import Manager; Syndicator
Demonstrated ability to create: Product Information Records, Business Partners, Business Workflows, etc.
Experience in Master Data Harmonization
Integration scenarios with SAP NetWeaver including: Portal integration, BI integration, XI integration, Communication with R/3, OCI integration, Data Security & User Management
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
