About this position?. The applicant must be extremely flexible as we have frequent last minute changes to our schedule, poised, have impeccable communication techniques yet able to handle the toughest of situations honestly and eloquently. This position makes the initial impression to our guests who travel from near and far for treatment at our center, therefore you must be personable and enjoy meeting new people.
The ideal candidate will have heavy experience in front office processes and extensive knowledge of managed care, private insurance providers and government insurances, especially Blue Cross/Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Aetna and local HMOs. Applicants must be familiar with Windows, Microsoft Office including excel and EMR based registration systems.

Besides scheduling of outpatient and cardiac procedures, the duties for this position are:
* verifies and enters the collection of correct and adequate patient and insurance information. Verifies that all authorizations are obtained prior to clinic.
* Coordinates activities and functions of the front office to ensure and facilitate a smooth patient flow, including obtaining relevant records, mailing center and facility information to new patients
* Evaluates the schedule for all front office visits prior to each clinic; ensures that all insurance authorizations are complete, records to justify consultation and correct diagnoses are available for review by physician and nurse practitioner.
* Maintains effective communication with physicians, administrator, colleagues, and patients.
* Maintain strictest confidentiality, adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
* Front office supply ordering and inventory monitoring.
* Attend workshops, seminars, etc. necessary for educational growth.
