Click Here to Apply Online Title: Project Specialist - Government Reimbursement Req Number: chmc-00024129 Department: Payor Relations / 11-193500 Job Grade: C-5 Start Time AM/PM: 8:00AM End Time AM/PM: 5:00PM Work Shift: 1st shift Hours Per Week: 40 Salary:$ 34,990.00 - $58,318.00 Located in Cincinnati, Ohio, we are currently recruiting for a Project Specialist to develop a comprehensive understanding of government payor reimbursement regulations, policies and rates. The Project Specialist will keep abreast of changes to governmental payor reimbursement regulations, policies and rates and will provide information and guidance to revenue cycle management. You will have the opportunity to perform as a consultant and liaison to the revenue cycle team, revenue cycle management, and other professionals while supporting the Medical Center by keeping current on changes to key government payor reimbursement regulations, policies, and/or rates for hospital, professional, and professional services. The Project Specialist will also perform periodic analysis of government payors' payments to ensure appropriate reimbursements are being made and work with revenue cycle team to assist with resolving government payor denials and other obstacles to payment. You will serve as a technical expert in government reimbursement payor regulations, policies, and rates and a source for reimbursement information for internal and external customers. To be successful, our ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline. Minimum 3 years of healthcare, finance, accounting, auditing, third party payor/intermediary, cost reports, and/or billing/reimbursement experience. Excellent understanding of government payor reimbursement methodologies, including DRG, CPT-4, HCPCS, RBRVS, and/or APC. Internet expertise navigating CMS and payor websites for billing guidelines and regulations required. MBA or MHA is preferred. Understanding of ICD, MS-SRG, and APR-DRG desirable.
