HSN.com is seeking an online marketing manager that is passionate and ready to dive into managing our affiliate & comparison shopping engines program. In addition to managing the day-to-day relationships with affiliates, shopping engines & portals, this individual will manage external agencies. Goals will include: meeting monthly revenue targets and efficiency levels, and generating new customers to HSN.com at a profitable level. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to build a career in online marketing in a progressive multi-channel organization. Responsibilities: Work closely with Sr. Marketing Manager to build and expand our online affiliate and shopping engine programs. Daily program management including ongoing development and deployment of creative briefs for banners, coupons, etc. Create redirect tracking URLs and upload fresh marketing creative into Commission Junction with those coordinating landing pages. Ensure product catalog/data feed is processed daily; top selling items are included, making adjustments to the feeds as needed. Prepare daily, monthly & quarterly communications to partners such as newsletters, forum posts, blog posts and special offers. Review monthly invoices from partners for accuracy, including payment amount and resolving any disputes or missing order submissions. Prepare weekly sales, commission pay outs, and ROI reports. Some data entry into forms required. Prepare monthly PowerPoint presentations for executive teams, product buyers & other internal partners. Will need to report on program performance vs. goals. Initiate new campaign ideas, additional incentives, and bonus offers. Maintain featured stores on portals such as MSN Shopping. This includes merchandising, sorting, creating links, promotions, etc. Monitor affiliate activity, analyze performance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend ways to increase affiliate-generated revenues. Proactively recruit new affiliates, joint venture partners, and strategic partners. Approve or declining affiliate applications submitted after evaluating their websites to ensure it's a good fit for the HSN brand. Ensure compliance of HSN's search marketing guidelines that does not allow affiliates to bid on any HSN trademarked terms. Provide warning notices and decline affiliate commissions or terminate them if they are violating this policy. Keep the list of keyword bidding restrictions updated & posted for partners. Oversee the development and distribution of marketing tools and sales creative to partners as needed. Give special attention to top revenue generating affiliates & create special offers just for them to promote. Example: Loyalty sites, giving extra points. Represent HSN at related trade shows as requested/needed. Possibly speak and conduct seminars at industry events, publish articles. Provide partners with hot products, special promotions, etc. to include in their newsletters. Optimize list of affiliates & shopping engine sites in our programs; remove under performers as needed. Act as liaison between internal and external partners, maintaining positive relationships. Maintain expertise in affiliate & comparison shopping engine relations, monitor market & industry trends to refine best practices. Minimum Qualifications: 1- 2 years of experience managing a retail site's affiliate marketing program. An avid online shopper or blogger. Someone who spends a lot of time online. Understanding of how online affiliate programs and comparison shopping engines work. Can review sales performance reports and forecast / project out sales. Proven record of managing a website's marketing budget to meet goals, such as revenue, cost, margin, and return. Good, clear verbal & email communication. Proper phone etiquette. You will be talking to partner's everyday, representing HSN. Analytical skills, including experience reviewing campaign performance results and making recommendations for future actions. Resourceful, with problem-solving and negotiation skills. Ability to work with multiple internal teams to get your job accomplished. Be creative: able to come up with special promotions and write compelling ad copy. Ability to create a redirect link, use an ftp site and other tool interfaces. Able to write basic HTML. Daily experience with writing basic HTML, using Outlook as your email provider, and using Excel, Word and PowerPoin
