The Illustrators supplied for this task shall conform to the following:
Responsible for developing Complex Aircraft and Ground Segment Technical Manual Illustrations. Ability to support the creation of digital technical manuals illustrations, using tools conforming to government standards & specifications, and/or AECMA (S1000D).
Basic Qualifications: BA in Engineering related field or 4 years equivalent experience in a technical related field. Minimum 6 or more years directly related MIL-SPEC/AECMA S1000D Tech Order illustrating experience required.
Preferred: Experience with IsoDraw and familiarity with Arbortext Epic Editor SGML editing software essential. Must understand how to extract source data from CAD programs such as CATIA and Unigraphics. Experience with Right Hemisphere a plus. Must be experienced with analysis and interpretation of engineering source data, and have good verbal and written skills.

Company is taking CAD drawings and converting them into manuals for the B2 Bomber. They will be using Illustrator to create an on-line interactive manual. Must have Adobe Illustrator, ISO Draw or Corel Draw. Good manual creation experience. Must pass background check. Must be US citizen. The effort will consist of replacing existing HALE Aircraft Maintenance Manual technical illustrations with animated dynamic CAD models with hot spots linked to the related Technical Order html text. Manual types are Job Guides, General Systems/General Equipment, and Illustrated Parts Breakdowns. The existing technical illustrations used Pro/E drawings as source data and were developed using IsoDraw and saved as cgm files. Illustrations will be developed by retrieving appropriate the Right Hemisphere rendered CAD model and associated parts list from the server, then using the Right Hemisphere tool, add mil-spec call outs and leader lines, animate the parts explosion, and apply hot spot links to the related data module's Arbortext html text. Initial on site training for the use and application of Right Hemisphere software will take place at NGTS location. It is anticipated that initial training will be conducted at project start-up. Follow-on guidance will be by net meeting or VTC.
