Prepping charts for future dates and answering calls. Reviewing open accounts over 60 days, calling insurance companies to obtain payment. Verify patient’s insurance eligibility. Code CPT procedures as well as diagnosis ICD-9 CM. Abstract information from patient files for reimbursement. Accurately enter patients' demographics into the Medic2 system, as well as post payments and make changes when necessary.
Review accounts in bad debt, document and send bills to patients.
