Overview : The Learning & Development Executive Director leads and manages the Learning & Development department of Medicis Pharmaceutical Corp. The Executive Director is responsible for establishing, promoting, and managing the learning environment of all phases for sales representatives and field managers on both the dermatology and aesthetic sides, future and existing field managers, future and existing account managers, and future and existing marketing managers. This position will work closely with Executive Committee members, the sales and marketing department heads on various special projects to advance the development of future and current sales and marketing personnel. This role is also responsible for the approval and program design of sales meetings & conventions. This position is based at Headquarters in Scottsdale, AZ and reports to the Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations & Corporate Sales. Responsibilities : Provide coaching and development for L&D and M&C staff Oversee curricula design and development for all phases of training Oversee execution of all learning paths such as distance learning and face to face workshops Provide vision for learning and development pathways for Sales and Marketing Lead content design committee for all national sales and marketing meetings Manage and oversee SG&A departmental budget Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree 7-10 years relevant experience Excellent communication skills Ability to provide strong leadership to department Creation/implementation of training platforms Understand selling process Clear understanding Derm Pharma and Medical device products SPBT member preferred, but can be achieved once in the position AA/EEO Employer
