We currently have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Project Manager for Teton Industrial Construction, A PCL Company, which is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. We are seeking candidates with heavy industrial experience in power, petrochemical, minerals/mining or oil and gas. Position Requirements: Primary Responsibility: The Project Manager is responsible for the administration and execution of assigned projects in safe, profitable and timely manner. Is often assigned to multiple projects and/or projects of larger contract amounts and/or complexity. Manages work in a manner consistent with standards of quality and integrity. Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers. Participate as requested in the marketing, estimating, bidding and contract negotiation phases of the projects assigned. Major responsibilities include: 1. Ensure that Project Safety Rules and Regulations are followed for the execution of a safe project. 2. Manage staff, including: establishing and communicating performance expectations, providing positive and constructive feedback, determining training and development needs and conducting on-the-job training. Conduct Performance Reviews and Career Development Reviews. Makes or oversees hiring, discipline and/or termination decisions. 3. Reviews estimates with attention to: Adherence to cost control system, Equipment requirements and utilization, Constructability, Formwork, materials, and manpower. 4. Manages the orderly, timely transition of projects from the estimating to the field. This transition shall include project review meetings: review of contract requirements, general conditions, schedules, budgets, subcontracts and purchase order agreements. 5. Coordinates the means and methods required for the successful and profitable execution of the work. Reviews and monitors manpower, equipment and material resources to accomplish this goal. 6. Analyzes and approves CPM schedules monthly. Ensures that as many levels of detailed schedules are prepared and distributed as required to support the project schedule. Pays special attention to prevention and documentation of delays or changes. 7. Oversees the preparation of the monthly progress report in coordination with the Project Superintendent and Project Engineer. Uses available reports to manage costs and prepare accurate cost projections. 8. Reviews and executes all change orders, supplements and cost control budget adjustments. 9. Reviews and manages the procurement schedule. 10. Manages all billings to insure timely submission of payment applications and receipt of payments from the owner in order to maintain a positive cash flow position. Manages the overall payment process with the subcontractors and Administration Department. 11. Manages the execution of purchase order agreements and subcontracts with respect to insurance certificates, bonds, and the appropriate lien wavers. Coordinates with District Procurement Department. 12. Completes close out requirements and punch lists in a timely manner. Handles warranty call backs quickly to maintain owner/client relationships. 13. Provides feedback to estimators for use in future bidding or negotiations. Qualifications: Four year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience. Extensive (15 or more years) experience in managing construction projects plus thorough knowledge of contract documents, materials, equipment utilization, scheduling systems, productivity analysis, construction operations, and cash flow procedures. Must possess proficient management, leadership, business and technical skills and abilities.
