Washington Gas Energy Services, Inc. (WGES) is seeking a talented administrative professional with a strong work ethic and excellent job history to join our team as an Office Coordinator/Administrative Assistant.

Located in the quiet, spacious front office/reception area with large windows, the Office Coordinator/Administrative Assistant will use their initiative and flexibility to provide general administrative support to senior management, maximize office productivity, and maintain a professional workplace environment while handling front desk/reception coverage.

All residential electricity supplies provided by WGES include regional wind power as part of the supply portfolio, above the levels required by local legislation, and WGES has been a leading supplier of wind power to federal, state and local governments as well as to private companies.

WGES is constantly working to reduce the impact of its office operations on the environment, including using recycled content copy paper, reducing lighting energy use, and using environmentally friendly cleaning products and other office supplies. We also help our employees share their ideas on saving energy and learn about new energy saving opportunities though our internal on-line forum, our "green wall" and distributing sample green products at company events.

The Office Coordinator/Administrative Assistant will provide support in the following areas:

Front Desk Reception
* Answer and route WGES mainline incoming calls
* Welcome incoming guests and employees
* Route mail and packages appropriately

Administrative
* Apply your computer skills to perform internet research, data entry, and translating data graphically in the form of charts, graphs and tables
* Prepare routine correspondence, reports, and presentation materials under management guidance

Office Support
* On a daily basis, maintain a professional workplace environment by managing the appearance, inventories and organization of the reception area, conference rooms, pantries, kitchen, work rooms and all common areas
* Manage the set-up and breakdown of meetings and events
* Coordinate conference services to include meeting schedules, room set up/break down, working with IT to ensure the proper set up of AV equipment, and catering orders
*
To be successful in this position you will need to have?.

* Bachelors Degree with 3 years office support experience in a corporate setting including at least 1 year of reception experience. In lieu of a degree, 8 years of additional experience will be accepted.
* Strong skills in MS Word and Excel. Experience with MS Access, Power Point, and Lotus Notes a plus.
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
* Superb attention to detail.
* Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
* The ability to exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality.
* The ability to problem-solve and work independently with frequent interruptions.
