Click Here to Apply Online Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Specialist (HQ IMCOM) SMITH/Associates (www.smithcollaboration.com) has an immediate need for a (MWR) Morale, Welfare and Recreation Specialist for IMCOM's National Capital Region. The candidate for this position will be required to provide support to the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Division of Headquarters, IMCOM National Capital Region in Arlington, Virginia. REQUIREMENTS ? Ten (10) years progressive experience, selectively or in combination, within the general functional area and six (6) years specialized experience directly related to the specified task area, supporting the U.S. Army, the Department of Defense (DoD), or other Federal departments or agencies. ? Possesses a bachelor's degree in related technical or business discipline or equivalent work experience per paragraph 1. JOB DESCRIPTION ? Assist the government in updating and tracking numerous metrics such as the installation status report, common levels of support and baseline standards and be able to evaluate FMWR programs using these metrics. ? Compile data, prepare reports and provide program recommendations, by working closely with the government lead to determine the focus of the effort and shape data collection, and analyze and craft the Data Collection Plan. The candidate will be reasonable for applying selected analytical methodologies, such as strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analysis; collection of descriptive statistics; process mapping; stakeholder analysis; best practices assessment; benchmarking; and performance management models, to assess the key metrics, standards, resources, processes, and technologies necessary for success. The candidate will identify and assess challenges and opportunities and their priorities and impacts. ? Provide extensive program coordination with various program personnel at the garrison, region and Army staff on actions. ? Interpret and articulate initiatives for various MWR programs, compile findings, and provide a recommended course of action. The candidate for this position will develop options for program improvements based on results from the analysis, refine these options, and recommend options to the organization's decision-makers that will provide optimum results. Options will be reviewed and vetted with senior leaders, key stakeholders, and selected staff. ?
