Management Seeking your Electric background in supplier quality to lead a team of automotive professionals. Your engineering background will allow you to manage new parts from suppliers and all initial sample inspection report activities. Under your leadership you will develop hourly and salaried personnel in their team skills to solve technical, working, method, machine problems while reducing cost and improving quality. An advance degree in business management would be advantageous. Collect and analyze internal and external problems from the production areas (in Press, Body, Paint, and Assembly) and nonconforming material storage areas. Provide root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation. Your responsibility is driving continuous improvement in process, facilities, man, and materials while utilizing KPI Indicators and preferably Six Sigma. Travel domestically and internationally expected. Bachelor s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field along with five (5) to eight (8) years of progressive experience in the quality inspection field in a manufacturing environment preferably within the automotive industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead salary and hourly team members involved in automotive manufacturing operations and provide broad understanding and application of the automotive industry and KMMG standards. ? Administer and control practices in the area of safety, human relations, quality, cost, organization, and delivery targets for engineers for new model process development. ? Execute and implement quality activities in compliance with company goal. ? Ensure team members comply with policies and procedures. ? Build and maintain good working relationships with Team Members and management. ? Initiate and complete reports tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other administrative tasks as required. ? Drive continuous improvement activities (Process, Facilities, Man, and Materials). ? Inform the internal and external quality problems to the inspection line and improve the inspection process. ? Notify line problems to the Quality Control staff and improve the quality level. ? Feed back quality problems to the production team and find a solution to improve quality level. ? Ensure the effective and efficient operation of team to provide quality improvement leadership. ? Manage special projects for production support activities. ? Attend all required trainings as assigned. ? Participate in forecasting and forward planning activities. ? Assist in the selection of new employees and train, develop, and provide team member/ team leader/ group leader performance assessment. ? Manage new parts from suppliers and all initial sample inspection report activities. ?
