The Control Systems Specialist is responsible for the maintenance and support of the Process Control Network (PCN) and all PCN applications, and working closely with the Control System Engineers and Digital Maintenance Technicians, provides day-to-day troubleshooting, routine support for projects, and routine monitoring of equipment performance and reliability.   It has a salary range of $75-$90k with a bonus opportunity at 15% and a comprehensive benefits package.   The position is located in Wilmington, California.
 
Specific duties include:
Build and modify the user interface for process control equipment including modifying/creating displays and console layouts.
Build and modify information programs which retrieve process data to a PC desktop, ensure users retrieving data from process equipment receive accurate data, make data available when end users cannot retrieve data in the usual way.
Provide system administration for Microsoft NT/2000 network including installing OS and applications, upgrading server and workstation hardware, maintain user accounts, monitor usage and maintain security and virus protection, maintain and organize file structures, and providing support and recovery from failed components by reloading software, rebooting nodes, replacing failed hardware, etc.
Additional requirements include:
Experience providing system administration and technical support in Microsoft NT / 2000 / XP network environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of relational databases, especially SQL and Oracle.
Must have exceptional communication skills.
Must demonstrate strong understanding of networking/distributed computing concepts and outstanding analytical and trouble shooting skills.
