Our client is a privately held company providing technical expertise, solutions, and services in support of the networks and applications for the cable television and telecommunications industries since 1996. The creation of a worldwide digital broadband telecommunication network is underway. Their experience in network development and systems integration allows them to provide our customers with the skill, knowledge, and resources necessary to successfully launch and maintain new digital networks, applications, and services.    Their clients include operators of broadband networks such as cable television MSO’s, telephone companies, utility companies, and private businesses all with their own unique communication requirements. These clients plan to provide digital video, voice, data, and/or multimedia services to their customers.
 
This position will Design, deploy, integrate and conduct Quality Assurance (QA) tests on next generation systems in the Digital Broadband Delivery System (DBDS) environment and on Set-Top-Box (STB) applications; Provide critical second and third level support for systems deployment including in depth debugging of the DBDS (SA and Motorola Headends); Administer various Sun/IBM Server platforms, database Servers (Informix & Oracle) & Video On Demand (VOD) Servers with associated two-way Radio Frequency (RF) networks. 
 
Requirements:
M.S. degree in Computer/Systems and Information Science or a closely related field with two years of experience in the job offered or as a DNCS Operator; A B.S. degree with 5 years of progressively responsible experience will be accepted in lieu of M.S. degree with two years of experience. Experience with Linux is a must to be successful in this position.   Any suitable combination of this education and experience will be acceptable.  Extensive travel on assignments to various client sites within the U.S. is required.   Salary range is $50k - $75K plus a comprehensive benefits package. ***There are three locations:  Atlanta GA, Charlotte NC and the Metor DC area.
