Our Science, Engineering and Math division is looking for a Digital Promotions Intern to work in our Dubuque, IA office. The Digital Promotions Intern will be responsible for working with the Senior Digital Promotions Manager to concept, create, and maintain web, Flash, video, and other electronic promotions for McGraw-Hill Higher Education. This position will require a one-year commitment by the candidate, but may be extended based on performance and availability. Timeframe of position: Starting January/February, 2009 until December 2009 (longer based upon review) Flexible Hours - 30 hours per week Required Skills: Proficiency with web design applications Strong PC skills, and understanding of HTML and the Internet Basic understanding of Photoshop, or other graphic design applications Ability to quickly learn and apply new technology and software applications Ability to take direction on a project; work independently; creatively problem-solve; and turn projects around quickly Must provide samples of completed or current web-based marketing projects Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with Adobe Flash to create illustrations and animation Experience with Adobe Creative Suite programs Experience with PC video/audio editing, and video/audio editing software (ex.
