Our customers range from Electrical Contractors, Industrial OEM & MRO customers to Commercial, Institutional, Educational and Government entities. Responsible for representing Crescent and for selling products and services to a wide range of clients within an assigned geographical territory. This includes prospecting and soliciting orders within the guidelines established by management, identifying client needs, and proposing solutions and appropriate products and their applications with client companies. The Account Manager is expected to create and maintain solid long-term business relationships with customers on behalf of Crescent Electric.
 
Primary Duties:

Regularly make sales calls to prospective customers and current customer establishments.
Introduce and demonstrate new products to the trade.
Effectively utilize resources to solve issues and create solutions to customers' needs and problems.
Keep customers informed about all relevant company and vendor policies.
Report any observed customer financial weakness to management.
Assist customers in pricing bills of material.
Follow up on all quotations and writing orders whenever possible.
Report competitive conditions and feedback from customers to management.
Cooperate with suppliers to secure mutual business through joint sales calls.
Develop superior product knowledge to handle difficult customer applications.
Constantly seek new customers and/or opportunities with existing accounts.
Execute sales effort in an ethical and professional manner that will reflect favorably on the reputation of both the salesperson and the company.
Develop account plans/penetration strategies using formal Crescent Electric sales tools.
Create and maintain relationships with customers by making decisions based on win/win situations to build trust.
Develop a sustainable sales/profit volume in assigned territory.
Meet and/or exceed assigned sales and gross margin goals.
Attend training sessions as requested.

This job is a split responsibility between our Laramie, WY and Cheyenne, WY branches. Qualifications:


No more than two moving violations in the previous twelve months and no more than four in the last three years. No major preventable accidents in the last three years. Violations of reckless driving, exceeding the speed limit in excess of 20 m.p.h. and driving under the influence are not acceptable.


Individual must possess strong comprehensive PC skills (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, AS400, mainframe, Outlook products) and product knowledge. Must have ability to work quickly and accurately under time constraints and against deadlines. In addition, must possess interpersonal and organizational skills, be a self starter, be detail oriented, and have the ability to communicate (verbal and written).


Valid driver's license and ability to travel often in the assigned territory and occasionally travel to attend company and vendor activities and events required.


High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of two years related sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university is preferred.


Previous sales experience, previous knowledge of wholesale electrical distribution industry, and previous experience providing superior customer service preferred.
