Responsibilities Responsible for profitable sales growth within the DataComm, Security and general Low Voltage markets. This includes supplying direction to various sales personnel on prospecting and soliciting orders within the guidelines established by management, identifying client needs, and proposing solutions and appropriate products and their applications with client companies. Additionally, the Director of Low Voltage Sales will develop strategic plans and partnerships with key vendors that result in increased sales and market share throughout the entire United States. Primary Duties Develop a company-wide business plan incorporating short-term and long-term goals. Secure additional product lines necessary to fulfill customer requirements. Negotiate fair and equitable pricing, terms and conditions from all applicable vendors. Hold annual business planning session with key vendors. Create training programs for Low Voltage sales personnel that can be delivered to other employees. Create training programs for delivery to customer base. Actively engage in recruiting of Low Voltage sales personnel. Measure sales and growth margin contribution for all Low Voltage sales personnel as well as respective branches. Represent Crescent at all necessary industry meetings/conventions/seminars. Build agenda for annual Low Voltage meeting to be held in conjunction with Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) convention and facilitate same. Provide executive staff with market trend information, new developments, and suggestions for growth in sales and profits. Qualifications Ability to travel (overnight) 40% of the time. Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid driver's license.
