KS Associates is seeking an experienced, service-oriented Professional Engineer (P.E.) to direct our Transportation Group. Reporting directly to the Owners/Principals, this person will be a key member of our leadership team and will be responsible for delivering outstanding results for our clients.
The Director of Transportation Services must have experience serving ODOT in a Prime Consultant role and must be intimately familiar with the Project Development Process. Experience with locally administered projects is also required.
Qualified candidates will be able to demonstrate experience and success in all aspects of Project Management for Transportation Projects. Success is measured by satisfied clients, quality deliverables and profitable projects. Proposal preparation, fee negotiation, resource allocation and maintenance of budgets are key responsibilities.
KS Associates serves a variety of public and private sector clients. Experience in designing and obtaining entitlements for developer-driven transportation projects is needed. Success in working with Counties, Cities and Villages to improve their transportation infrastructure is also required.
Qualified candidates must be self-motivated with well-developed decision-making skills and high ethical standards. The preferred candidate will have exceptional communications skills. He/she will be a strong leader, committed to the advancement of KS Associates in the transportation design industry. The Director will drive business development to secure new work for the firm and to cement ongoing relationships.
The successful candidate will supervise a team of Professional Engineers and Technicians. He/she will be responsible for staff development including giving feedback on performance, providing training opportunities and encouraging each team member to contribute at the highest level attainable.
Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university * Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio * Superior Project Management skills * Track record of successful transportation projects * History of satisfied public and private sector clients * Well-versed in ODOT Project Development Process * Experienced with ODOT-Assisted LPA Projects * Strong communication skills * Experience in proposal preparation and fee estimating * Experience in negotiating contracts * Experience in business development
