With the support of GTS, McGraw-Hill Education can focus on utilizing technology to transform all aspects of education, improving everything from product development to sales to the education process itself.    GTS is currently looking for a Business Analyst.   Reporting to the Business Solutions Team lead, the Business Analyst is a critical member of the McGraw-Hill Education Global ERP team.  The ERP team is responsible for the key operations and functions of all critical Oracle ERP applications that support McGraw-Hill Education business operations.  Functional areas include Inventory Planning, Manufacturing, Customer Service and Order Management.  The Customer Service & Order Management, Supply Chain and Finance teams are structured with Team Leads having oversight for Architects, Business Analysts, and both onshore and offshore Developers within these respective functional areas.  Primary responsibilities of these groups include the integration and functional operations of all Oracle 11i application modules.  Primary responsibilities of this role will be to support Customer Service & Order Management operations, but may extend to other functions as needed.   Essential Duties Conducts reviews and analysis of business and information technology processes and solicits client requirements through interviews, workshops and/or existing systems documentation or procedures. Identifies customer requirements, writes functional designs, reviews technical designs, develops test schedules, reviews testing plans and tracks and documents the development and results of these plans. Evaluates business requirements for enterprise business applications integration and service activation, while delivering new or modified software systems enhancements and/or integrated solutions. Participates in the definition, testing, training, implementation, and support of system requirements. Alerts project managers to potential risks and issues of importance. 4 years Professional Experience . Demonstrable track record of defining systems that lead to increased efficiency and productivity through the use of technology. Solid Oracle e-business experience and a background in the educational publishing field.  Degree in Management Information Systems / Computer Science (or equivalent). 2 years of Oracle ERP experience (or equivalent) is required, CRM experience is a strong plus. Strong understanding / aptitude for technology especially in Oracle applications or SQL. Excellent analytical, communication (both verbal and written), and facilitation / organizational skills. Ability to make recommendations based on incomplete or highly evolving set of requirements. Strong interpersonal skills are essential Ability to work well with others, and embrace and leverage diversity with people in other departments and/or outside of the enterprise Innovative and creative thinking.
