Senior Web Engineer Our client is looking for a highly motivated senior-level web engineer to spearhead the development of various web applications, web services and graphical user interfaces. At the heart our system is an operating system; the industry’s only cloud computing platform. Our client is the innovator of cloud computing technology and utility computing services, simplifying the deployment and scaling of web applications. The primary responsibility of the Senior Web Engineer will be the design and development of web-based software/services and graphical user interfaces for the cloud computing platform. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to design, implement, and test web-based software for this and other products. The Senior Web Engineer will also analyze current operational procedures, identify issues, and determine specific input, output, and functionality requirements. This position will require leading the specification, design, implementation, and testing of web-based software components for our products. The successful candidate must also be able to identify, diagnose, and fix defects in the software, including defects in 3rd party web components and modules. The successful candidate will also be responsible for building their own web development team. This includes: participation in job specifications, the interviewing and hiring of team members, and providing technical review, validation and recommendations on software development projects developed by others in the team. Required Skills and Experience: · Strong web design and development skills (Minimum 4 years experience), · Strong cross browser web application development skills; Internet Explorer/Firefox a must, Safari/Chrome a plus, · Web programming skills: HTML/DHTML/XHTML, DOM, CSS, object-oriented JavaScript, AJAX, PERL, PHP, JSON, XML · LINUX experience: scripting in BASH/PERL, LAMP stack, working with MYSQL using PERL/PHP-based interfaces · Web Services, REST, SOAP a plus, · Programming skills in C and C++ a plus, · Experience with rich internet application technologies such as Adobe Flash/Flex and Microsoft Silverlight a plus, · Experience with web frameworks such as jQuery and Mootools a plus, · Graphical design skills a plus, · Strong debugging skills, · Strong documentation skills, · Ability to work in a fast paced, process-oriented, professional environment, · Must be a self starter with excellent communication skills, · Bachelors Degree in Computer Science a plus
