Location: Moss Point, MS   ACCURACY CONTROL TECHNICIAN (MARINE SURVEYOR)
A DIRECT-HIRE POSITION
LOCATION: MOSS POINT, MISSISSIPPI
JOB SUMMARY:
Supervise and perform visual and physical inspection, sampling and testing to make sure that products and materials meet required standards, appearance, and quality. Use gauges and measuring instruments. Work under the supervision of the Quality Control Manager.
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Follow operating procedures and indicate new procedures.
Inspect and oversee inspection of unfinished, finished, and repair work to ensure that it complies with standards, codes, drawings, and specifications.
Use measuring instruments, devices, and chemicals (meters, gauges, liquid penetrants) to test products and materials and maintaint records of results.
Act as liaison for outside inspectors and for the production department.
REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering theory and practices
Knowledge of measuring devices and tools.
Ability to oversee quality control programs to ensure quality product.
Ability to interact with personnel at various levels, customers and quality control agents.
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Associate s Degree or minimum high school diploma and 4 years experience with accuracy control.
Skilled in reading blueprints
Use of surveyor s instruments
AutoCAD kknowledge
3D surveying instruments
Familiarity with shop fabrication and assembly methods.
