At DISH, we are very proud to be the premier provider of foreign language offerings of over 150 International channels (not including Spanish-language channels) to our subscribers. We are currently looking for a Director of International Programming who will be involved in all aspects of our growing business: evaluating potential channel launches, negotiating programming rights and affiliation agreements, marketing, pricing and packaging strategy and operations. Specific Responsibilities: Develop international programming strategy and evaluate its impact on positioning with DISH Evaluate potential channels and develop justification models and strategies; Negotiate material terms of affiliation agreements with programming suppliers; Maintain and cultivate relationships with content partners; Develop and execute acquisition strategy; Foster and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the competitive digital and entertainment landscape globally; Create strategic plans and present to senior management; Develop relationships and work collaboratively with other DISH operations regarding channel launches, transport and call center support. To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will have 5+ years relevant experience in licensing television rights including negotiation and closing licensing agreements. Candidates should be a self starter willing to handle significant responsibility. This position requires an analytical thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit. Some international travel will be required.
