Click Here to Apply Online Daily Candy is seeking a hands-on Product Manager to develop business requirements and customer needs into a usable and effective consumer experience. The Product Manager will be responsible for defining product features and functionality in an experiential framework while balancing a range of business priorities. They will also need to evaluate and communicate financial impacts of potential product features. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the development and management of web-based products and services. The Product Manager must have a blend of business and technical savvy and be comfortable working directly with sales, marketing, editorial, creative, and technical engineering teams. The role you could play with us: Work closely with the VP of Product to create goals and plans for the company’s future product offerings, especially as it relates to email, community, video or syndication Rapidly develop expert knowledge of assigned product lines, the competitive landscape and emerging technologies Analyze and create business cases for identified strategic opportunities Establish product positioning by defining product or feature differentiators Lead cross-functional teams to translate business requirements and customer needs into a best-in-class consumer experience Create specifications, requirements and/or wireframe documentation for product development activity Conduct usability testing of new and existing products Project manage development of new products and/or product features working closely with marketing, sales, editorial and engineering teams Assist in performing quality assurance, user acceptance and usability testing on products Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan and launch projects on time, on budget and on spec Perform product demos and be able to brief and train internal teams Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities Provide ongoing analysis – including the use of analytic tools, surveys and other feedback tools – to monitor product effectiveness, traffic and revenue generation What we would like you to have: 5 years experience with the full lifecycle of product development; at least 3 at a consumer internet company Product development experience at an ad-supported Web site Additional background in the following is a plus but not required: email marketing, mobile, video, syndication, women’s content Goal-oriented, able to not only conceptualize products but also manage and optimize them throughout their lifecycle Proven track record leading cutting edge, cross-functional online product development initiatives Savvy in state-of-the-art online technologies Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage and develop various products at different stages Strong written and verbal communication skills, to both internal and external stakeholders Excellent teamwork skills, including proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority Strong outside-the-box thinking and imagination Understanding of application/software development processes, publishing technologies, advertising technologies Solid understanding of Internet business models Experience with web traffic analytics programs Strong work ethic and ability to own projects from beginning to end. Must be extremely detail oriented. Strong time management and interpersonal skills. Must enjoy working in pet friendly environment.
