In this position, you'll be leading the global marketing strategies behind a portfolio of XBLA games that range from casual pick-up-and-play puzzle to hardcore combat. Utilize your solid consumer marketing experience to drive global marketing thinking around this exciting set of premium games. Develop marketing strategies for new franchises that target consumers on the Xbox LIVE platform. Partner with the Xbox LIVE team and multiple marketing communications teams to ensure world class delivery of programs. Forecast the sales potential of prospective titles and help guide XBLA portfolio decisions. Create consumer product positioning based on in-depth understanding of the target consumer and competitive set. Develop key messages to internal and external customers and all related communications plans. Manage product launches including distribution strategies, product pricing, online marketing plan, and lifecycle management including price reductions. Work with development teams to hone product design and feature prioritization and create a unified development and marketing vision for the product, with a thorough incorporation of target consumer segment understanding. Responsibilities include: Create marketing plans (market & competitive analysis, customer understanding, positioning, messaging, and marketing strategies) that delight consumers and differentiate from the competition Analyze consumer trends/behavior and sales results to advise and assist game studios with portfolio development and planning Develop intimate knowledge of games and competitive titles Lead discussions with teams of marketing partners (PR, Xbox.com, CRM, LIVE Programming, etc) to create go-to-market plans that drive awareness and purchase intent for the game franchises Build and nurture strong relationships with game studios and developers to align team goals, gather marketing assets, and distribute key information/assets to ensure strong go-to-market execution Manage marketing aspects of the business plan - forecasting, launch strategy, lifecycle planning, etc. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years demonstrated work experience in consumer product marketing in a high tech, software or gaming position. Online gaming experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of consumer insights, segmentation and positioning.
